In this workshop we are going to explore together how to provide students with the opportunity to develop the necessary skills for writing effective essays. The process of writing an essay should teach students how to research a topic and organize their thoughts according to different types of essays (opinion essays, for-and-against essays, and solution to problems essays) into an introduction, a body and a conclusion. Let’s discover together the detailed Scaffolded Approach that makes writing easy and artful.

Oana Jugariu

Oana Irina Jugariu has been a teacher of English at ”Vasile Alecsandri” National College since 1999, when she graduated from „Al. I. Cuza” University, Iasi, the Faculty of Letters. She is also the holder of a Master degree in ”Translation and Interpreting Strategies” from the same university. Additionally, she is an assessor for national contests and exams (CPEECN), a teacher trainer, a mentor, as well as a member of the Advisory Council in Bacau. Currently, she is teaching secondary and highschool students, having excellent results in preparing them for Cambridge exams, as well as the English National Contest. During the 22 years of teaching English at ”Vasile Alecsandri” National College, she has acumulated noteworthy experience in the field, being focused on helping students progress, since learning English is a „Must” for their future careers and not only.

Ileana Briceag

Ileana Briceag is a teacher of English with many years of experience in the school system, which have helped her develop her own teaching philosophy that guides how to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond. Her strong beliefs that one’s school education goes hand in hand with personal development, a process which leads to the greater good of the society we live in, kept her close to continuously studying ELT methods and always searching for new approaches to involve not only learning English, but also developing one’s life skills to fulfill self-development. She is currently an ELT Consultant within Uniscan Grup Educational and Express Publishing.
